Punch List
The list of small items that still need to be finished, touched up, or corrected before a job is considered complete.
The punch list is generated at substantial completion — when the customer can use the space but minor fit-and-finish items remain. Once everything on the punch list is addressed, the job's complete and retainage releases.
Keep punch lists tight and dated. An open punch list is an open job; an open job is an unpaid retainage check.
