Exclusions

Items explicitly NOT included in a quote or contract — listed up front to prevent scope disputes.

Exclusions are how you protect yourself from assumptions. A homeowner reading 'paint the kitchen' might assume that includes patching drywall, masking cabinets, and removing outlet covers. Listing 'does not include drywall repair, cabinet masking, or outlet cover removal' on the quote makes that explicit.

Good quote software (like FieldKrew) lets you save common exclusions as templates and one-tap apply them to new quotes.
