Everything Pro unlocks and a no-jargon walkthrough to set it all up — payments, branding, automations, team, subs. About 30 minutes total.
You upgraded (or you're about to). Here's the full setup, in order, with what each step actually does for your business and how long it takes. Don't try to do it all in one sitting — most operators knock out the first three steps Day 1, then come back for the rest over the next week. Why Pro is worth it (the short version) Get paid online — customers click a link in your invoice and pay by card or ACH. Money lands in your bank account directly (we never touch it). 0% platform fee on Pro — you pay Stripe's normal processing rate (2.9% + 30¢ for cards, $5 cap for ACH). FieldKrew takes no cut. Free users pay 1% on top of Stripe. Your branding, not ours — your logo + brand color replace FieldKrew on every page your customer sees: quotes, invoices, payment page, customer portal, sub portal. Automations that follow up for you — quotes that don't get a reply get a polite nudge after 3 days. Reviews get asked for after a job closes. Unpaid invoices get reminded weekly. Team accounts — invite admins (full access) and employees (clock-in only) with per-person permissions. Subs + sub view — sub CRM with COI/W-9 tracking, 1099 reports, and a portal where your subs log in to see jobs you've assigned them. 5 GB storage — photos, plans, voice notes. style="max-width:780px;margin:0 auto;padding:48px 24px;font-family:system-ui,-apple-system,sans-serif;line-height:1.55;color:#0f172a"0/mo per extra 5 GB if you need more. Setup, in the order to do it 1. Connect Stripe so you can take payments (~10 min) What it does: lets customers pay you by clicking a "Pay invoice" link. Money goes from their card straight to your bank account — typically the next business day. You don't have to learn merchant accounts or get a card reader. How to set it up: Open Settings → Plan & billing → Get paid online . Click Start Stripe onboarding . Stripe is the payment processor (every major SaaS uses them — they're massive). FieldKrew never sees your bank info; it goes straight to Stripe. You'll need: your SSN or EIN , business address, and the routing + account number of the bank account you want money sent to. Have your checkbook or a deposit slip handy. Stripe asks a few questions about your business (sole-prop / LLC / corp, average ticket size, what you sell). Answer them as you would for a bank application. When you finish, you're returned to FieldKrew. The Get-paid- online card flips to Connected with a green check. What "Pending verification" means: Stripe sometimes needs to confirm your identity (driver's license photo). They'll email you. Until they verify, you can SEND invoices but the customer's pay link won't work. Usually resolves in 1-3 business days. Common stumbles: "They're asking for my SSN — is that safe?" Yes. Stripe is regulated like a bank. It's the standard for any payment processor (Square, PayPal, etc all require this). FieldKrew never sees the number. "I don't have an EIN." Use your SSN — Stripe accepts it for sole proprietors. You can switch to EIN later if you form an LLC.
